The directors of the megahit Malayalam film ‘ Manjummel Boys ’ heaved a shriek of relief on Friday after the Kerala High Court put a stay on felonious proceedings against them in a cheating case.

The three directors of the film directed by ChidambaramS. Poduval– Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony– are indicted in a case registered at the Maradu police station near then for colorful offences, including felonious conspiracy, felonious breach of trust, cheating, and phony .

The order was passed on a solicitation moved by Babu Shahir, who’s one of the three mates in Parava flicks LLP.

In November last time, these three directors entered into an investment agreement with a person named Siraj Hameed, who agreed to invest Rs 7 crore for the product of the film for a 40 per cent share of the net profit.

After the film came a megahit, Hameed contended that the directors failed to keep their word as he approached a marketable court, seeking action against the directors. The court issued anex-parte order attaching the accounts of Parava flicks.

After this, Hameed filed a felonious complaint professing that the directors cheated also him.

still, after hearing the arguments on Friday, the Kerala High Court stayed the felonious proceedings against the patron triad.

The counsel appearing for petitioner Babu Shahir refocused out that the full earnings and charges for the film have not been settled yet, as it has only been two months since its release. also, according to their agreement, Hameed would admit his share of profit only after all fiscal matters were settled.

It was also refocused out that Shahir has formerly paid Rs 50 lakh to Hameed and was ready to pay the due quantum, but is unfit to do so as their accounts were attached due to the earlier order passed by the marketable court.
