Hyderabad: Putting to bed numerous speculations circulating on different social media platforms regarding a new logo for the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), the management issued a statement on Thursday clarifying that no new design has been officially launched as of yet.
Many individuals objected when a purportedly newly-designed TGSRTC emblem, minus the renowned Charminar and Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, began to circulate on different social media platforms.
Responding to these sentiments, TGSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar stated that the present TGSRTC logo, which is identical to that of APSRTC, will stay untouched. “The organisation has not finalised any new logo and that the logo being circulated on social media is fake,” Sajjanar stated.
He stressed that the firm has yet to announce any information on a logo change and advised the public to reject false information spreading online.
“As the organization continues to work on developing a new logo, TGSRTC guarantees the public that any official updates about logo changes will be disseminated via appropriate official channels. “Until then, the current TGSRTC logo will remain in place,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, the company will shortly embark on a comprehensive campaign to update the abbreviation and logo on the corporation’s website, online platforms, letterheads, rubber stamps, signage at offices, bus depots, bus passes, identity cards, tickets, workshops, and buses.
“It’s a large exercise that takes some time to finish. Though we have not established a time restriction, we will guarantee that the work is completed as soon as possible and that the organization has a new and fresh look,” stated a senior official.
The government has issued directives to modify the names of all government institutions to reflect the change in Telangana’s acronym from TS to TG. While several departments have already altered their names appropriately, TGSRTC has not made any formal announcement regarding a new logo.
