Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer asked Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the head of the National Democratic Alliance, to form the government on Tuesday after NDA partners met with him and established their claim.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State President K. Atchannaidu, BJP State President D. Purandeswari, and Jana Sena Party (JSP) political affairs committee chairman N. Manohar met with the Governor at Raj Bhavan to announce that Chandrababu Naidu had been unanimously elected as their leader.
They handed him a copy of the resolution passed unanimously by freshly elected NDA legislators to elect Chandrababu Naidu as their leader.
The Governor then invited Chandrababu Naidu to form the administration. Previously, a gathering of newly-elected NDA MLAs overwhelmingly elected Chandrababu Naidu as their leader.
Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan nominated Chandrababu Naidu as the alliance’s leader. In addition, Purandeswari and Atchannaidu supported the idea, as did all TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP MLAs.
Chandrababu Naidu will take his oath as Chief Minister on Wednesday. The Governor will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Chandrababu Naidu during a ceremony at Kesarapalli IT Park, near Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada.
The ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, various Union ministers, NDA partner leaders, and chief ministers from a few states.
