In just a few hours, TDP leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled for 11:27 am after which he will assume charge of the state. Preparations for the ceremony have been completed with great fanfare. The venue at Kesarpalli village in Gannavaram in Krishna district has been decorated lavishly. Three huge tents have been erected on the 20-hectare site. A special stand was set up for guests and VVIPs, and the stage could seat 60 people. The stage itself was also lavishly decorated. It is estimated that the event will be attended by around 50,000 supporters and members of the TDP, Janasena and BJP. A special tribune was arranged for the farmers who donated their land for the capital city.
Many prominent personalities have already arrived in Vijayawada to attend Chandrababu’s swearing-in ceremony. The families of Nara, Nandamuri and Megha arrived in Vijayawada on Tuesday evening. Special passes have been issued for invited guests, VVIPs and VIPs. The event is expected to be attended by national and international dignitaries. It is also expected to see the participation of a large number of party workers and public, and extensive preparations will be made. A large LED screen has been installed so that everyone can watch the proceedings.
A lounge has been set up backstage for the special guests attending Chandrababu’s swearing-in ceremony. These rooms have been allocated for distinguished guests. A special lounge near the stage has been set up for PM Modi, who will be accompanied by Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda and other Cabinet ministers. Separate rooms have been arranged for the PM’s staff. A lounge has been set up for Governor Abdul Nazir and a separate lounge for the PM. An additional lounge next to the PM’s room will be reserved for VVIPs.
As a large attendance is expected at Chandrababu’s swearing-in ceremony, authorities have taken extensive security measures. 10,000 police personnel have been deployed, of which 3,000 are in Vijayawada. 7,000 police personnel will secure the Gannavaram airport, surrounding areas and the Kesarpalli venue. Over 60 IPS officers are monitoring security arrangements.
