Actor Prithviraj, known for his role in 30 Years Industry, received an unexpected shock. A district family court in Vijayawada issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him on Wednesday. The development came in a case where his wife Balireddy Srilakshmi had sought maintenance.
Earlier, the family court had ordered Prithviraj to pay Rs 80 lakh per month to his wife Balireddy Srilakshmi. However, Prithviraj challenged the order in the Supreme Court. After considering the case, the Supreme Court granted interim relief and ordered Prithviraj to pay Rs 22,000 per month and clear all outstanding debts. Despite this, Prithviraj did not comply with the Supreme Court’s orders. Hence, his wife Srilakshmi and her lawyers Sunkara Rajendraprasad, Sappa Ramesh and CH Vadikasur filed a petition in the family court.
The petition stated that Prithviraj had not appeared in court and had only published a notice in the newspaper giving details of the case. The lawyers noted in their petition that he had not appeared in court. On Wednesday, a family court judge considered the application and issued an arrest warrant against Prithviraj, which is non-bailable. This has left Prithviraj in a difficult position.
