PM Modi celebrates India’s elections
The Prime Minister welcomed the recently concluded elections in his country, saying it was the first time in 60 years that a government had returned to power for a third term.
“More than 310 million women voters participated in this election. This is the largest number of women voters in the world. This number is close to the US population. The beauty and strength of Indian democracy attracts and influences the world. I congratulate all the voters in Varanasi who made Democracy Day a success. The people of Kashgar not only elected members of parliament for a third term, but also elected a prime minister for a third term. The control of people across the country in this election is unprecedented. This mission creates a new history. An elected government has been in power for a third term, a rarity among world democracies. But this time so did the Indian people. This happened in India 60 years ago. Since then, the Indian government has never scored such a hat-trick…” he said.
“Your trust is my greatest asset. Your trust motivates me to work hard to serve you and take our country to the top. I will work hard day and night and I will do the everything to make your dreams and dreams come true. I think farmers, youth, women and the poor are the strong backbone of a developing country in India. With their power, my third term begins. After the formation of the government, the first targets were the farmers and poor families. Whether it is building new houses worth Rs 3 crore for poor families across the country, or advancing the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi government, these decisions will help thousands of people. Today’s program will further strengthen India’s development path. Rs 20,000 crore of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi has been released in the bank accounts of farmers’ income across the country…” he added.
