Bharat Rashtra Samithi( BRS) working chairmanK.T. Rama Rao on Thursday said that removing Charminar from the Telangana state hallmark by the Congress government is an personality to every citizen.

Rama Rao, along with several BRS leaders, visited Charminar for a emblematic kick over the government’s decision to change the state hallmark.

He said while Hyderabad is the glory of Telangana, Charminar is the identity of Hyderabad.

” Charminar is notorious each over the world. Hyderabad and Charminar are thick,” he said.

He contended that by removing Charminar and Kakatiya bow( Kakatiya Kala Thoranam), the Congress government is hurting the tone- respect of the people of Telangana.

The BRS leader said that if the government goes ahead with the decision to remove them from the hallmark, their party would carry demurrers in Hyderabad and across the state.

He asked Chief MinisterA. Revanth Reddy what’s the need and urgency to remove major structures from the state hallmark?

KTR, as the BRS leader is popularly known, contended that the Congress government was resorting to a change of hallmark due to political vendetta.

The BRS working chairman said that Revanth Reddy hadn’t shared in the Telangana movement. He contended that Revanth Reddy wanted to change the hallmark just because it was chosen by BRS chairman and also principal ministerK. Chandrasekhar Rao( KCR).

KTR claimed that during the 10- time rule of BRS, Telangana witnessed rapid-fire development and contended that the present Congress government doesn’t want to honor this fact.

He recalled that when 400 times of Hyderabad were completed, the also Congress government had organised the fests with the image of Charminar.” How was it respectable to the Congress government also,” he asked while chancing fault with Revanth Reddy’s reflections that Hyderabad along with the Kakatiya bow symbolises the authoritarianism of once autocrats.

KTR also recalled former principal ministerN.T. Rama Rao had installed Kakatiya bends on both sides of Tank Bund in Hyderabad.

He reminded Revanth Reddy that people suggested Congress to power to ameliorate their lives, do good for them and fulfil the pledges it had made.
